20 Nov Very special guests
Little Pippins Montessori Nursery was pleased to welcome some very special guests this month.
On Friday 15th November, we were visited by Sir Alec Shelbrooke, the MP for Wetherby and Easingwold, his Chief of Staff Ryan Stephenson, Lucinda Compton, Owner of the Newby Hall Estate, Thomas Campion, Associate Partner at Carter Jonas and Land Agent for the Newby Hall Estate, Guy Critchlow, Chair of Skelton cum Newby Parish Council, and Councillor Nick Brown from North Yorkshire Council.
The visiting party spoke with Nursery Owners Victoria and Ian Pollitt about the move to the former Skelton Newby Hall Primary School Building and our involvement in the local community.
They were then given a guided tour of the nursery before meeting the children.
Victoria said: “We were delighted to be able to show everyone the work we carried out to get the nursery ready for the opening in September.
“We received tremendous support from Lucinda, Guy and Nick during the process to transform the school, and we have been touched by the wider support from the local community as well.
“We couldn’t be happier with our new location and with how well the children have settled into their new surroundings.
“It’s an amazing building with lots of space both inside and outside, and this is only going to have an even more positive impact on the children’s early years learning experience.”
