08 Oct Three new members of staff
Little Pippins welcomed three new members of staff to the nursery for the start of the 2025/26 term.
We are pleased to introduce Lizzie Chester, Zoe Hall and Charlotte Bell to the nursery family.
Lizzie, 23, is a trained teacher who worked in a school teaching English before deciding to travel abroad for a few months.
This is her first role in an early years’ setting but with her background in teaching she has settled in well at Little Pippins and is currently working in our baby room (Little Pips).
“I am really enjoying the new role and working with the babies teaching them new words and watching them develop is wonderful,” says Lizzie.
“Being a teacher definitely helps but I am also learning lots of new things too which is great.”

Zoe, 23, is working in childcare for the first time having previously done other jobs, including working at a boarding kennels.
“My mum used to be a childminder so it’s not entirely new to me as I have kind of always been around it growing up,” says Zoe.
“Everyone has been really nice and welcoming and it’s a lovely environment in which to work. I am loving every minute of it.”

Charlotte, 18, is our newest Apprentice at Little Pippins and is keeping it in the family when it comes to working in childcare.
“My mum worked in schools and nurseries before she retired so I am used to being in this environment and she is very proud that I have now followed in her footsteps,” says Charlotte.
“I am currently working with the two and three-year-olds in the Little Buds room and particularly like making up new activities for them to do.
“Being on an apprenticeship gives me the best of both worlds as I will learn on the job and get a qualification at the same time, which is great.”
