30 May Very well qualified
Naomi Martyn may have only worked in childcare for five years, but she’s already very well qualified in her career.
Naomi, 24, already has her Level 4 in Childcare and only becoming a mum for the first time prevented her from taking her Level 5.
“It’s on hold for the moment but it’s definitely something I want to return to as I am keen to learn as much as I can,” says Naomi.
Naomi always knew she wanted to work in childcare, having enjoyed looking after her younger siblings and cousins when she was younger.
This led her to a Health and Social Care qualification at college, then her Level 3 in childcare. She started working at a play group before moving to a nursery in her hometown of Yarm.
Naomi joined Baldersby Park in May and is working in our baby (caterpillars) room.
She adds: “I like working with children of all ages but babies are particularly nice because you get to see and help them through so many different milestones.
“I really love working at Baldersby Park. It’s a great setting inside and out and there’s a lovely family feel to the place.”
